§7.1Καὶ ἦλθεν εἰς Ἐκβάτανα *καὶ παρεγένετο εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν Ῥαγουήλ, καὶ Σάρρα δὲ ὑπήντησεν αὐτῷ·
And he came to Ecbatana and arrived at the house of Raguel, and Sarah met him.
καὶ ἐχαιρέτισεν αὐτὸν καὶ αὐτὸς αὐτούς.
And she greeted him, and he greeted them.
καὶ εἰσήγαγεν αὐτοὺς εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν.
And she brought them into the house.
§7.2καὶ εἶπεν Ἔδνᾳ τῇ γυναικὶ αὐτοῦ Ὡς ὅμοιος ὁ νεανίσκος Τωβεὶτ τῷ ἀνεψιῷ μου. §7.3καὶ ἠρώτησεν αὐτοὺς Ῥαγουὴλ Πόθεν ἐστέ, ἀδελφοί; καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ Ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Νεφθαλεὶ τῶν αἰχμαλώτων ἐκ Νινευή. §7.4καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Γινώσκετε Τωβεὶτ τὸν ἀδελφὸν ἡμῶν; §7.5οἱ δὲ εἶπαν Καὶ ζῇ καὶ ὑγιαίνει. καὶ εἶπεν Τωβίας Πατήρ μού ἐστιν. §7.6καὶ ἀνεπήδησεν Ῥαγουήλ, καὶ κατεφίλησεν αὐτὸν καὶ ἔκλαυσε·
And he said to Edna his wife, "How much this young man is like Tobit my cousin!" And Raguel asked them, "Where are you from, brothers?" And they said to him, "We are of the sons of Naphtali, who are captives in Nineveh." And he said to them, "Do you know Tobit our brother?" And they said, "He is alive and well." And Tobias said, "He is my father." And Raguel leaped up, and kissed him, and wept.
§7.7καὶ εὐλόγησεν αὐτὸν καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Ὁ τοῦ καλοῦ καὶ ἀγαθοῦ ἀνθρώπου· καὶ ἀκούσας ὅτι Τωβεὶτ ἀπώλεσεν τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς ἑαυτοῦ, ἐλυπήθη καὶ ἔκλαυσεν.
And he blessed him and said to him, "O son of a good and noble man!" But when he heard that Tobit had lost his eyes, he was grieved and wept.
§7.8καὶ Ἔδνα ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ Σάρρα ἡ θυγάτηρ αὐτοῦ ἔκλαυσαν·
And Edna his wife and Sarah his daughter also wept.
καὶ ὑπεδέξαντο αὐτοὺς προθύμως.
And they welcomed them warmly.
§7.9καὶ ἔθυσαν κριὸν προβάτων, καὶ παρέθηκαν ὄψα πλείονα. (10)Εἶπεν δὲ Τωβείας τῷ Ῥαφαήλ Ἀζαρία ἀδελφέ, λάλησου ὑπὲρ ὧν ἔλεγες ἐν τῇ πορεία, καὶ τελεσθήτω τὸ πρᾶδγμα. §7.10καὶ μετέδωκεν τὸν λόγον τῷ Ῥαγουήλ.
And they killed a ram of the flock, and set before them many meats. (10) And Tobias said to Raphael, "Brother Azarias, speak of those things of which you talked in the journey, and let this matter be accomplished." And he communicated the matter to Raguel.
καὶ εἶπεν Ῥαγουὴλ πρὸς Τωβείαν Φάγε, πίε καὶ ἡδέως γίνου, σοὶ γὰρ καθήκει τὸ παιδίον μου λαβεῖν· πλὴν ὑποδείξω τὴν ἀλήθειαν.
And Raguel said to Tobias, "Eat, drink, and be merry, for it belongs to you to take my child; nevertheless, I will declare the truth to you.
§7.11ἔδωκα τὸ παιδίον μου ἑπτὰ ἀνδράσιν, καὶ ὁπότε ἐὰν εἰσεπορεύοντο πρὸς αὐτήν, ἀπέθνησκον ὑπὸ νύκτα.
I gave my child to seven men, and whenever they came in to her, they died in the night.
ἀλλὰ τὸ νῦν ἔχων ἡδέως γίνου. καὶ εἶπεν Τωβίας Οὐ γεύομαι οὐδὲν ὧδε ἕως ἂν στήσητε καὶ σταθῆτε πρὸς μέ. καὶ εἶπεν Ῥαγουήλ Κομίζου αὐτὴν ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν κατὰ τὴν κρίσιν· οὺ δὲ ἀδελφὸς εἶ αὐτῆς, καὶ αὐτή σού ἐστιν·
But for the present, be merry." And Tobias said, "I will eat nothing here until you make an agreement and stand before me." And Raguel said, "Take her from now on according to the decree; and you are her brother, and she is yours.
ὁ δὲ ἐλεήμων θεὸς εὐοδώσει ὑμῖν τὰ κάλλιστα. §7.12καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Σάρραν τὴν θυγατέρα αὐτοῦ, καὶ λαβὼν τῆς χειρὸς αὐτῆς παρέδωκεν αὐτὴν Τωβείᾳ γυναίκα, καὶ εἶπεν Ἰδοὺ κατὰ τὸν νόμον Μωυσέως κομίζου αὐτὴν καὶ ἄπαγε πρὸς τὸν πατέρα σου· καὶ εὐλόγησεν αὐτοὺς.
And may the merciful God prosper you in the best things." And he called Sarah his daughter, and taking her by the hand, he gave her to Tobias to be his wife, and said, "Behold, take her according to the law of Moses, and lead her to your father." And he blessed them.
§7.13καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Ἔδναν τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ· (1⁶)καὶ λαβὼν βιβλίον ἔγραψεν συνγραφὴν καὶ ἐσφραγίσαντο.
And he called Edna his wife; (1⁶) and taking a book, he wrote an instrument of covenants, and they sealed it.
§7.14καὶ ἤρξαντο ἐσθίειν.
And they began to eat.
§7.15καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Ῥαγουὴλ Ἔδναν τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ Ἀδελφή, ἑτοίμασον τὸ ἕτερον ταμεῖον καὶ εἴσαγε αὐτήν. §7.16καὶ ἐποίησεν ὡς εἶπεν καὶ εἰσήγαγεν αὐτὴν ἐκεῖ, καὶ ἔκλαυσεν· καὶ ἀπέδέξατο τὰ δάκρυα τῆς θυγατρὸς αὐτῆς (20)καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ §7.17Θάρσει, τέκνον, ὁ κύριος τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ τῆς γῆς δώῃ σοι χάριν ἀντὶ τῆς λύπης σου ταύτης· θάρσει, θύγατερ.
And Raguel called Edna his wife and said to her, "Sister, prepare the other chamber, and bring her in." And she did as he said, and brought her in there, and she wept; and she received the tears of her daughter (20) and said to her, "Be of good comfort, child; may the Lord of heaven and earth give you joy instead of this your sorrow; be of good comfort, daughter."
