[PAULUS libro quarto ad Sabinum. ] §30.1.52.prSi cui serui omnes cum peculio legati sint, etiam hi serui debentur, qui nullum peculium habent.
[PAULUS, Book 4 on Sabinus.] If all slaves with their peculium are bequeathed to someone, even those slaves who have no peculium are owed.
§30.1.52.1Si a filio inpubere sub condicione legatum sit et filius heres exstitit, deinde mortuus est, potest dici patrem familias, qui a filio sub condicione legauit, a substituto pure repetit, statim uoluisse a substituto dari, si filius pendente condicione decessisset.
If a legacy is left by an impuberate son under a condition, and the son became heir and subsequently died, it can be said that the father of the family, who bequeathed [it] from his son under a condition [and] requested [it] again unconditionally from the substitute, wished it to be given immediately by the substitute if the son died while the condition was pending.
