[ULPIANUS libro singulari de officio praetoris tutelaris. ] §27.1.3.prTria onera tutelarum dant excusationem.
[ULPIAN, from the single book On the Office of the Praetor in Charge of Guardianships.] Three burdens of guardianships grant an excuse.
But three burdens are to be understood in such a way that it is not the number of wards that creates multiple guardianships, but the separation of estates; and therefore, he who has been appointed guardian to three brothers who have an undivided estate, or guardian to some and curator to others, is deemed to have undertaken only one guardianship.
