Phoxidas the Achaean and Ptolemy the son of Thraseas, and with them Andromachus of Aspendus, trained together in the same place the phalanx and the Greek mercenaries, and they commanded them, Andromachus and Ptolemy leading the phalanx, and Phoxidas the mercenaries; the phalanx numbering about twenty-five thousand men, and the mercenaries eight thousand.
