The oracle of the word of the Lord in the land of Sedrach, and Damascus is his sacrifice; for the Lord looks upon men, and upon all the tribes of Israel, and in Emath in its borders; Tyre and Sidon, because they were very wise.
And Tyre built strongholds for herself, and heaped up silver as dust, and gold as the mire of the streets.
And therefore, behold, the Lord will inherit them, and will smite her power into the sea; and she shall be consumed with fire.
Ascalon shall see and fear, and Gaza also, and shall be sore pained, and Accaron, because her expectation was ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ascalon shall not be inhabited.
And strangers shall dwell in Azotus, and I will bring down the pride of the foreigners.
And I will take away their blood out of their mouth, and their abominations from between their teeth; and even these shall be left for our God, and they shall be as a captain of a thousand in Judah, and Accaron as a Jebusite.
And I will set a garrison for my house, so that no one shall pass through or return; and no oppressor shall pass through them anymore, for now I have seen with my eyes.
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; proclaim aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem; behold, your King comes to you, righteous and bringing salvation, himself gentle and riding upon a beast of burden, even a young colt.
And he will destroy the chariots from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be destroyed, and abundance and peace shall be from the nations; and he shall rule over waters as far as the sea, and from the rivers to the ends of the earth.
As for you also, by the blood of your covenant, I have sent forth your prisoners out of the waterless pit.
You shall sit in strongholds, you prisoners of the assembly; and instead of one day of your sojourning, I will render double to you.
For I have bent Judah for myself as a bow, I have filled Ephraim, and I will raise up your children, O Zion, against the children of the Greeks, and I will handle you as the sword of a warrior.
And the Lord shall be over them, and his arrow shall go forth as lightning; and the Lord Almighty shall blow with the trumpet, and shall go in the whirl of his threat.
The Lord Almighty will protect them; and they shall devour, and subdue them with slingstones; and they shall drink them as wine, and fill the bowls as the altar.
And the Lord their God shall save them in that day, even his people as sheep; for holy stones are rolled upon his land.
For if there is anything good of his, and if there is anything beautiful of his, corn is for the young men, and fragrant wine for the virgins.
