And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord shall be manifest, established on the tops of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and peoples shall hasten to it.
And many nations shall go and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and they shall show us his way, and we will walk in his paths." For out of Zion shall go forth a law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
And he shall judge between many peoples, and shall reprove strong nations far off; and they shall beat their swords into plows, and their spears into sickles; and nation shall no more lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.
And everyone shall rest under his vine, and everyone under his fig tree, and there shall be none to make them afraid; for the mouth of the Lord Almighty has spoken these things.
For all peoples will walk each in his own way, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God forever and ever.
"In that day," says the Lord, "I will gather her that is bruised, and I will receive her that is cast out, and those whom I rejected; and I will make her that is bruised a remnant, and her that is rejected a strong nation; and the Lord shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth even forever." And you, O dusty tower of the flock, daughter of Zion, to you it shall come, and the former dominion shall enter, the kingdom from Babylon to the daughter of Jerusalem.
§4.9Καὶ νῦν ἴνα τί ἔγνως κακά;
And now, why did you know evils?
μὴ βασιλεὺς οὐκ ἧν σοι;
Was there no king in you?
ἤ ἡ βουλή σου ἀπώλετο ὅτι κατεκράτησάν σου ὠδῖνες ὡς τικτούσης;
Or did your counsel perish, because pangs have taken hold of you as of a woman in travail?
Be in pain, and do courageously, and draw near, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail; for now you shall go forth from the city, and shall dwell in the plain, and shall reach even to Babylon; from there the Lord your God shall rescue you from the hand of your enemies.
And now many nations are gathered against you, saying, "Let us rejoice, and let our eyes look upon Zion." But they did not know the mind of the Lord, and did not understand his counsel; for he has gathered them as sheaves of the threshing floor.
Arise and thresh them, O daughter of Zion, for I will make your horns iron, and I will make your hoofs bronze; and you shall utterly destroy many peoples, and you shall consecrate their abundance to the Lord, and their strength to the Lord of all the earth.
