1. 158.1Οὐ χρὴ ... τὴν γυναῖκα δεινὴν ... εἶναι — The impersonal verb χρή governs an accusative and infinitive construction, where τὴν γυναῖκα is the subject accusative, εἶναι is the infinitive, and δεινὴν is the predicate adjective (accusative feminine singular). The negative οὐ at the beginning governs the entire clause but, in contrast with ἀλλʼ (but rather), implies 'should be skilled not in A, but rather in B'.
2. 158.1δεινὴν ἐν τοῖς πολιτικοῖς — The adjective δεινός (skilled, clever) is used with the preposition ἐν + dative to indicate the specific area of competence. Here, it is followed by the substantivized neuter plural adjectives τοῖς πολιτικοῖς (political affairs) and τοῖς οἰκονομικοῖς (household affairs).
