[ULPIAN, in the fifty-eighth book on the Edict.] Labeo says that under bedding is included every garment which is thrown over; for indeed there is no doubt that every cloak, that is, a covering, is bed-clothing.
in uictu ergo uestem accipiemus non stragulam, in stratu omnem stragulam uestem.
Therefore, under sustenance we shall understand clothing that is not bed-clothing, and under bedding, all bed-clothing.
