[POMPONIUS, Book 3 on Sabinus] Since there are two types of postliminium, namely, that either we ourselves return, or we recover something: when a son returns, there must be a double grounds of postliminium in his case, both that the father recovers him, and that he himself recovers his own right.
§49.15.14.1Non ut pater filium, ita uxorem maritus iure postliminii recipit: sed consensu redintegratur matrimonium.
A husband does not recover his wife by the right of postliminium in the same way as a father recovers his son; rather, the marriage is renewed by mutual consent.
