[MODESTINUS, in the single book on Manumissions.] If a patron has not supported his freedman, the Lex Aelia Sentia deprives him, as well as the person to whom that matter pertains, of the obligations imposed on account of his manumission, and likewise deprives him and his children of the inheritance, unless he has been instituted as heir, and of the possession of goods other than in accordance with the will.
