§10Οὐόὲν οὖν πρόσκομμα κατὰ τὸν τόπον ἐστίν, a̓λλὰ πáντα θαυμασίως γέγραπται καὶ νενόηται οτͅς ἂν ό θεὸς όποκαλύψῃ.
Therefore, there is no obstacle regarding the passage, but all things have been wonderfully written and are understood by those to whom God may reveal them.
περισσὸν όέ τι ἔχομεν ἡμεῖς οἱ έπὶ συντελείᾳ τῶν αἰώνων ἐληΜότεςτί περισσόν;
But we who have arrived at the end of the ages have something more; what is this "more"?
ἐὰν ἀπαλλαrῶμεν ἐντεῦθεν, rενόμενοι καλοὶ καὶ Λrαθοίι μὴ ἐπαγόμενοι τὰ τῆς ἁμαρτίας φορτία, όιελευσόμεθα καὶ αὐτοὶ τὴν φλογίνην ῥομφαίανb καὶ ου) κατελευσόμεθα εἰς τὴν χώραν ὅπου περιέμενον τὸν Χριστὸν οἱ πρὸ τῆς παρουσίας αὐτοῦ κοιμώμενοι· διελευσόμεθα δέ, μηδὲν βλαπτόμενοι ὑπὸ τῆς φλογίνης ῥομφαίας.
If we depart from here, having become good and virtuous, not carrying the burdens of sin, we ourselves also shall pass through the flaming sword and shall not go down into the region where those who fell asleep before his coming were awaiting Christ; and we shall pass through, being in no way harmed by the flaming sword.
U̔κάστου όὲ τὸ ὲ́ρrον ὁποῖόν ἐστι, τὸ πῦρ αὐτὸ όοκιμάσει.
"And each one's work, of what sort it is, the fire itself shall test.
έͅ τινος τὸ ἔργον κατακαήσεται, ςημιωθήσεται, αὐτὸς όὲ οωθήσεται ουοτως ὡς όιà πυρΑ. όιελευσόμεθα οὖν· καὶ πλέον ἔχομέν τι, καὶ οὐχὶ όυνάμεθα καλῶς βιώσαντες κακῶς όπαλλάξαι.
If anyone's work is burned up, he shall suffer loss, but he himself shall be saved, yet so as through fire." Therefore we shall pass through; and we have something more, and we cannot, having lived well, depart badly.
οὐκ ὲ́λεrον οἱ ἀρχαῖοι οὐδὲ οἱ πατριά· ρχαι οὐόὲ οἱ προφῆται, ὸ̀ όυνάμεθα ἡμεῖς ἐὰν καλῶς βιώσωμεν· 〉κάλλιον γὰρ ἀναλῦσαι καὶ σὺ̀ν Χρωτῷ εἐ͂ναμ. όιόπερ οὕτως ἴχοντές τι πλέον καὶ πολὺ κέρδος ἐν τῷ ἐπὶ συντε- - λείᾳ τῶν αἰώνων ἐληΜέναι, πρῶτοι τὸ όηνάριον λαμβάνομεν·
The ancients, neither the patriarchs nor the prophets, did not say what we are able to say if we live well: "For it is better to depart and be with Christ." Therefore, having in this way something more and a great gain in having arrived at the end of the ages, we are the first to receive the denarius.
ὸ́κουF γὰρ τῆς παραβολῆς, ὅτι pἀρΘ́μενος ἐδίόου τὸ όηνάριον ἀπὸ τῶν ἐσχάτων· οἱ όὲ πρῶτοι ᾤοντο οοτι πλεῖόν τι λήψοντα“. σὺ οὖν πρῶτος, ό ἔσχατος ἐλθὼν, λαμβάνεις τοὺς μισθοὺς a̓πὸ τοῦ οἰκοδεσπότου ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ τῷ κυρίῳ ἡμῶν, ῳτ ἡ όόζα καὶ τὸ κράτος εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων.
For listen to the parable: "Beginning from the last, he gave the denarius; and the first thought they would receive more." You, therefore, the last to come, are the first to receive the rewards from the master of the house in Christ Jesus our Lord, to whom is the glory and the power forever and ever.
