[NERATIUS libro secundo responsorum. ] §7.1.61.prUsufructuarius nouum riuum parietibus non potest inponere.
[NERATIUS in the second book of Responses.] A usufructuary cannot place a new channel upon walls.
It is held that a usufructuary cannot complete an unfinished building, even if he cannot use that place in any other way, and indeed that there is not even a usufruct of it; unless this has been specifically added in establishing or bequeathing the usufruct, namely, that both should be permitted to him.
