[ULPIANUS libro tertio de omnibus tribunalibus. ] §1.21.2.prMandata iurisdictione a praeside consilium non potest exercere is, cui mandatur.
[ULPIANUS, On All Tribunals, Book 3.] Where jurisdiction has been delegated by a governor, the person to whom it is delegated cannot hold a council.
§1.21.2.1Si tutores uel curatores uelint praedia uendere, causa cognita id praetor uel praeses permittat: quod si mandauerit iurisdictionem, nequaquam poterit mandata iurisdictione eam quaestionem transferre.
If tutors or curators wish to sell landed estates, the praetor or governor should permit this only after an inquiry into the case; but if he delegates his jurisdiction, he can by no means transfer that inquiry by the delegation of jurisdiction.
