§3.35.1ὁ δὲ Πάχης ἀφικόμενος ἐς τὴν Μυτιλήνην τήν τε Πύρραν καὶ Ἔρεσον παρεστήσατο, καὶ Σάλαιθον λαβὼν ἐν τῇ πόλει τὸν Λακεδαιμόνιον κεκρυμμένον ἀποπέμπει ἐς τὰς Ἀθήνας καὶ τοὺς ἐκ τῆς Τενέδου Μυτιληναίων ἄνδρας ἅμα οὓς κατέθετο καὶ εἴ τις ἄλλος αὐτῷ αἴτιος ἐδόκει εἶναι τῆς ἀποστάσεως·
Paches, on arriving at Mytilene, brought Pyrrha and Eresos into subjection; and having captured Salæthus, the Lacedaemonian, who was hiding in the city, he sent him off to Athens, and at the same time the Mytilenaean men whom he had deposited in Tenedos, and any other person who seemed to him to have been responsible for the revolt.
§3.35.2ἀποπέμπει δὲ καὶ τῆς στρατιᾶς τὸ πλέον, τοῖς δὲ λοιποῖς ὑπομένων καθίστατο τὰ περὶ τὴν Μυτιλήνην καὶ τὴν ἄλλην Λέσβον ᾗ αὐτῷ ἐδόκει.
He also sent back the greater part of his army, but remaining behind with the rest, he settled the affairs of Mytilene and the rest of Lesbos in such manner as seemed best to him.
