§1.47.1οἱ δὲ Κερκυραῖοι ὡς ᾔσθοντο αὐτοὺς προσπλέοντας, πληρώσαντες δέκα καὶ ἑκατὸν ναῦς, ὧν ἦρχε Μικιάδης καὶ Αἰσιμίδης καὶ Εὐρύβατος, ἐστρατοπεδεύσαντο ἐν μιᾷ τῶν νήσων αἳ καλοῦνται Σύβοτα· καὶ αἱ Ἀττικαὶ δέκα παρῆσαν.
The Corcyraeans, when they perceived them sailing against them, having manned a hundred and ten ships, of which Miciades, Aisimides, and Eurybatus were in command, encamped on one of the islands called Sybota; and the ten Attic ships were also present with them.
§1.47.2ἐπὶ δὲ τῇ Λευκίμμῃ αὐτοῖς τῷ ἀκρωτηρίῳ ὁ πεζὸς ἦν καὶ Ζακυνθίων χίλιοι ὁπλῖται βεβοηθηκότες.
On the promontory of Leukimme their land forces were stationed, as well as a thousand hoplites of the Zacynthians who had come to their aid.
§1.47.3ἦσαν δὲ καὶ τοῖς Κορινθίοις ἐν τῇ ἠπείρῳ πολλοὶ τῶν βαρβάρων παραβεβοηθηκότες· οἱ γὰρ ταύτῃ ἠπειρῶται αἰεί ποτε αὐτοῖς φίλοι εἰσίν.
For the Corinthians also, many of the barbarians on the mainland had come to their assistance; for the mainlanders in those parts have always been friendly to them.
