ergo suptili ratione non aliter meum fiet ius, quam si omnes cedant et nouissima demum cessione superiores omnes confirmabuntur: benignius tamen dicetur et antequam nouissimus cesserit, eos, qui antea cesserunt, uetare uti cesso iure non posse.
Therefore, by strict reasoning, the right will not become mine otherwise than if all make the grant, and only by the very last grant will all the preceding ones be confirmed. However, it will be more equitably held that, even before the last person has made the grant, those who have already made their grants cannot forbid [the grantee] from using the right thus granted.
