§1.52.1

These things he sent to Delphi; but to Amphiaraus, having learned of his valour and his fate, he dedicated a shield entirely of gold likewise, and a solid spear all of gold, the shaft being likewise of gold as well as the points. Both of these were still in my time lying at Thebes, in the temple of Ismenian Apollo of the Thebans.

Syntax notes2 items

This is an absolute construction (either accusative or nominative absolute) with the participle ἐόν (Ionic for ὄν), describing the structure of the preceding αἰχμὴν (spear). τῇσι λόγχῃσι is a dative controlled by ὁμοίως ("likewise with / similar to the points"), where the plural refers to both ends of the spear (the point and the butt).

  2. 1.52.1τὰ

The neuter plural nominative relative pronoun, equivalent to Attic ἅ in Herodotus' Ionic dialect. Its antecedents are both the σάκος (shield) and the αἰχμή (spear).
